Follow-ups that keep the thread.

Understand delays, variants and stopping conditions.

A follow-up after your chosen delay

Add an email to the timeline and choose its delay from the previous step. It is sent within allowed days and hours, subject to available daily limits. A delay does not override these rules.

A and B: two versions of a step

A/B testing lets you prepare two versions of a message. A contact follows its assigned variant through the sequence. Review both before launch: a different sentence does not guarantee better results.

When should follow-ups stop?

Enable stop-on-reply if the sequence should end when a contact responds. Stops after clicks or opens depend on your settings; automated security systems can generate these events. Unsubscribes and permanent delivery failures stop subsequent sends.

Before editing a launched campaign

A previously used campaign may retain message versions to preserve history. Check which changes the interface allows. If unsure about an already scheduled message, pause the campaign and contact support before resuming.
